How can I reduce chlorine and chemicals used in my pool?

by Natural Swimming Pools LLC • January 01, 2022
When you search online for solutions to reducing the ongoing demand for chlorine and chemicals used to chemically balance the water in your swimming pool, you receive results for new technologies and devices such as UV, ozone generators, CO2 and acid feeders, ionizers, or salt systems.

Unfortunately, all of those still rely on chlorine and chemicals to balance the water in swimming pools.

Those devices are costly and require frequent maintenance every year. Seldom are they ever worth the extra $2,000-$5,000 investment to save 10-50% on your $20 monthly chemical cost.

However, there is finally a truly organic filtration options now available to homeowners!

Chlorine Free Pool

A natural swimming pool is purified by a biological filter system that does not use chlorine, salt-chlorine, or any chemicals at all! This is NOT a salt water pool. Salt pools are incorrectly marketed and often misunderstood as chlorine-free, they are still chlorine and chemical pools. The sodium chloride (salt) is used to create chlorine in the water and other harmful chemicals like muriatic acid and cyanic acid are still manually added in salt pools.

Natural swimming pools use a biofilm filter to control algae and clean the water. Called a BioPool® or a LivingPool™, the design has the look and feel of a traditional swimming pool. There are no chemicals or other devices, such as UV, ozone generators, ionizers or salt systems, used to disinfect or sterilize the pool water. All clarifying and purifying of the pool water is performed entirely by natural biological processes. The NSP is designed, engineered, permitted and constructed in conformance with applicable guidelines for a swimming pool.
