NSP BioSwimPond
A natural swimming pool purified by a planted wetlands regeneration zone. This type of NSP uses aquatic plants and beneficial microbes to control algae and clean the water. The design has the look and feel of a naturally occurring pond, with an attached or completely separate planted zone. A BioSwimPond requires a 1:1 filtration area, meaning if you'd like a 500 square foot swimming area then you would need an additional 500 square feet of plant regeneration zone or 1,000 square feet total.
NSP BioPool
A natural swimming pool purified by a biological filter system that does not use aquatic plants. This type of NSP uses a gravel filter or a biofilm filter to control algae and clean the water. The design has the look and feel of a traditional swimming pool. One 4' x 10' BioNova BF4 gravel filtration system can filter up to 500 square feet of swimming area (much less space required than a BioSwimPond).
NSP Duo
A natural swimming pool using a combination of both plants and a gravel filtration system will give you the best of both worlds!
